The ballad of Maria

She moves through the world like it’s but a dance
With a grace and poise that leaves a trail of wonder
Sometimes she feels as if she’s missed a step
But what she sees as a stumble, they see as a bow

She twirls, and it kicks up the magic of the cosmos
She knows not how her sashay inspires
Here she thought she was dancing alone
But if she were to turn, she’d find the whole world was her partner.
